The deity worshipped in the temple is Garjiya, a manifestation of Shakti, wife of Lord Shiva. This divine temple is situated on a triangular-shaped rock over the Kosi River. A steep climb atop this rock brings you to the Garjiya Devi temple. It also has a 9th-century black granite statue of Lakshmi Narayan.
